Hays has partnered with local government to recruit Arboriculture Technical Officers based in Brisbane. You will work on a range of projects, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy and reliability with a strong focus on sustainability, playing a vital role in maintaining Brisbane’s green spaces.
Your New Role
As an Arboriculture Technical Officer, you'll assess, maintain, and manage Brisbane’s green spaces.
Your key duties include:
Conducting proactive and reactive tree inspections to ensure public safety and asset longevity.
Preparing job briefs and overseeing contractors to ensure compliance with Council standards.
Completing risk assessments and providing arboriculture reports in line with Australian Standards.
Delivering excellent customer service by addressing enquiries and resolving requests.
Supporting disaster recovery efforts, such as storm events, by prioritising maintenance work.
Working with the Arboriculture team to identify and scope projects, ensuring alignment with policy needs.
What You'll Need to Succeed
Certificate III in Arboriculture.
C class driving licence.
Criminal history check.
Experience in tree management and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and tree protection policies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
