About the Role:
A leading NSW state government organisation is seeking a highly experienced Program Manager to lead a brand-new, multi-faceted resilience program for a core operations division. This program is in the very early seed funding stages and aims to support the resilience of the organisation by uplifting and transforming current technology. This position involves managing a wide range of workstreams across systems, infrastructure, networks, security, Business Processes, and organisational resilience. Having strong demonstrated experience managing complex large-scale programs consisting of varied technology domains will be paramount to success in this role. The successful candidate will start from the ideation phase, working to secure long-term funding and implement recommendations from various work streams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a comprehensive resilience program with multiple cross-divisional workstreams and cross-clusters.
Oversee the ideation, funding, and implementation phases of the program.
Develop and present business cases to secure funding.
Collaborate effectively across multiple clusters and agencies within the organisation.
Identify and address system issues, business continuity, and resilience improvement areas.
Act as a strategic filter to direct initiatives and deliver core systems.
Required Experience:
Senior-level experience in program management, particularly in multi-stream technology programs.
Proven track record of wide collaboration across large, complex organisations.
A pedigree of delivery across varied technology initiatives with a focus on, but not limited to, organisational resilience, business processes, system resilience, network, infrastructure, security, and general technology domains.
Demonstrated ability to lead diverse technology uplift or transformation programs for large and complex organisations.
Government program delivery experience is highly regarded and advantageous.
Program Details:
The program includes several projects focusing on systems resilience and organisational resilience across multiple technology domains.
The program is expected to span several years, with an initial contract until November 2025 and the potential for extension.
Significant funding has already been allocated for discovery and business case development, with the program expected to reach tens of millions in size and scale.
