Management Accountant and Internal Control

We are recruiting a skilled Management Accountant / Internal Controller to join our client's team based in Darwin.

Your new role

This role supports the leadership and executive team by providing financial insight, analysis, and overseeing internal control functions. The role is split approximately 80% Management Accounting and 20% Internal Control work.

• Lead annual budget development and ongoing reviews.
• Analyse financial performance and provide insights.
• Support financial closing processes and prepare reports.
• Identify and mitigate strategic and operational risks.
• Conduct internal audits and prepare for external audits

What you'll need to succeed

• Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Finance and membership of CA or CPA.
• Proven experience in budget development and financial analysis.
• Strong understanding of Australian accounting principles.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in risk management and internal controls.
• Advanced competence in Excel and familiarity with various IT systems.
