Experienced FIFO all-rounder Utilities are required for mine sites in South Australia.
Your new company
At Hays Specialist Recruitment we play a major role in supporting remote camp sites across South Australia. Our clients have developed service solutions for remote sites to meet their clients' needs for hospitality, comfort, safety and well-being at each stage of their projects.
Your new role
We run a large casual pool of staff to supply a range of hospitality services to our mine sites, and we are currently looking to onboard several experienced all-rounder Utilities that have FIFO experience.
These roles are to cover work in a specific area and, as a current forklift licence is required with candidates that also hold a full Australian drivers' licence, either a C-Class or MR Driving licence is highly desirable.
Whilst working on site, your shift pattern will be a week of day shifts followed by a week of night shifts and, while you will be utilising your skills on a fork lift, you will also be required to work shifts across the following departments.
- Housekeeping
- Mine Site cleaning
- Industrial Laundry
- Dining room sanitation
- Bar attendance (for RSA holders only)
All flights will depart from Adelaide Airport, so we can only consider candidates who are based in Adelaide, South Australia,
What you'll need to succeed
- You MUST have previously worked in a similar role, in remote areas with past Fly in Fly out experience.
- You must hold a current ForkLift (LF) high risk licence.
- You will be required to provide contactable work references who can confirm your mine site experience within Australia.
- A current Australian Driving Licence, either C- Class or MR Licence, is preferred.
- You must be flexible and be willing to work both the day and night shifts.
- A Food Safety certificate is required for ALL positions.
All candidates will be expected to undertake and pass an extensive pre-employment medical and instant drug and alcohol test.
Successful candidates MUST be based in South Australia as all FIFO opportunities leave from Adelaide airport and our recruitment and onboarding process will only begin when candidates are based in Adelaide.
What you'll get in return
We offer excellent pay and conditions in the remote mining camp villages that we service. All flights, accommodation and food are provided whilst you are on site and accommodation consists of your own room with personal facilities. Sites have access to gym equipment and other recreational facilities which are available for all residents to use.
