Trade Waste Driver (2 roles available)

THE POSITION: Fairfield City Council’s Waste and Cleansing Operations is seeking a full time Trade Waste Driver. The successful applicants will be responsible for operating Fairfield City Council’s waste trucks and collecting garbage from the City’s commercial areas including Council building and parks and reserves.

ESSENTIAL: 

• HR Driver’s License
• Experience in Truck Driving
• Ability and willingness to learn
• Ability to work unsupervised

DESIRABLE:

• Experience in Waste Collection Operations
• Knowledge of compaction systems and operations
• Knowledge of waste systems
• Experience in the operation of a garbage compactor

SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:

• Permanent position, 38 hours per week with shifts commencing at 4.30am
• This position salary is $73,165.10 p.a. plus 11.5% superannuation
• Required to work Public Holidays overtime rates apply
• A Uniform is provided
