Your new role
The Developer will contribute to the construction of services for the Learning Management System and integration of teaching products. The Developer is responsible for providing high-quality services to key stakeholders. Driving good technology practices in software development, this role applies extensive general experience in software development practice to the platforms of supported products in the team, with a focus on continuous improvement in development practice for themselves and quality assurance of junior members of the team.
What you'll need to succeed
Minimum 2 days per week on site, as agreed with the Hiring Manager.
Demonstrated 5 + experience with web development using a framework such as Ruby on Rails and .Net
Demonstrated experience with relational data modelling and SQL is highly desirable.
Demonstrated experience developing using Object-Oriented design, Service Oriented Architecture and API design is highly regarded
Demonstrated experience with integrating systems through APIs is highly desirable.
Understanding of XML and JSON.
Demonstrated experience analysing existing application processes and designing and implementing improvements
Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and influence a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
Experience with effective cross-functional team relationships to develop and deliver effective business solutions.
Demonstrated ability to promote the organisational values of integrity, respect, collegiality, excellence and discovery, and a commitment to positively comply with the associated behaviour expectations
