Exciting opportunity for an experienced Retirement Medical Co-ordinator in a State Government Department. This role requires you to work full-time hours, on an initial temporary basis. This department is based conveniently near public transport.


Your new role

  • Supports the appropriate identification of employees regarding eligibility for medical retirement
  • Refers employees to the medical board to assess fitness and eligibility for retirement
  • Administers and coordinates meetings
  • Prepares all relevant documentation in line with legislative and policy requirements
  • Liaises with internal and external stakeholders
  • Primary point of contact for employees
  • Administering referrals for any required assessments or services
  • Provides guidance on career transition
  • Helps prepare briefing notes and executive responses
  • Complies with information security policies
  • Undertakes other duties as required

What you'll need to succeed
  • Must have permanent working rights in Australia
  • Human resource management skills
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving, research and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret and apply legislation
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
